In 2011, Ehren Jordan, proprietor and winemaker of Failla Wines, had the task of expanding production of his premium Pinot Noir and Chardonnay brand by several thousand cases. Months before the looming grape shortage was widely recognized and while many were still grappling with sluggish wine sales, Ehren was working in earnest to locate and acquire premium vineyards to secure his grape sources to support Failla’s growth plans.

The 15 acre Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vineyard is located on one of the Russian River Valley AVA’s most storied lanes: Olivet Road. Failla, known for its premium Pinot Noirs from the Sonoma Coast, has big plans for this vineyard for its Russian River Valley wine programs.
